Quilted feather fun .

Quilted feather fun .

Here are a few pictures of my latest quilted venture..
Using cream cotton sateen fabric with a flower print fabric border. gold rayon thread .
Bottom line bobbin white , 2oz wadding .

I started off by drawing in my stem guide lines for the center design , also for the border , just one continuous following stem . the flowing feather design was quilted using a gold coloured thread ,

I also used a small filler design .

And a darker quilted echo design .

Here is the reverse side of the project . which you would agree is just as worthy of being on show .

Happy Quilting .

Quilted Table Runner .

Quilted Table Runner .

Ive picked out this fabric , its one that i dyed the other week , ive used some polydown polyester
batting for the sandwich with a plain lavender fabric backing . using 505 spray to keep the whole sandwich together .

Used some paper stuck together to make the 48inch strip , so that i can draw out my design .
then cutting out the outline , so that i can get a rough idea for placement on  the fabric, then filling in
the separate feather details with a fine chalk pencil .

so far i have used a teal coloured thread for the outline .

updates later .

Happy Quilting .
