This project was for my  Daughter , making up a pair of velvet curtains from scraps of fabric

which i had collected over the years.

 Sorting out the fabrics and cutting into 10inch squares was my first task.

Sewing the squares together did cause some little problems , as not all the fabrics were of the same weight ,
Using the walking foot helped a great deal .




I added a border of corduroy fabric on either side .

I used a dark peach fabric for the linings .

I went on to complete the curtains attaching the header tapes. each curtain measured 70inch in length. .

Im pretty sure my Daughter will be very pleased with the result.
